My Body Remembers You explores the people who stay with us long after the relationship has changed. A mother, daughter, lover, sister or friend can leave behind more than a memory. Their presence can become posture, instinct and the way we make room for others.

In these paintings, closeness becomes physical. Bodies bend, fold, reach, hold and adapt inside tight domestic spaces. I am interested in the moment when care, dependence and the need to remain loved begin to shape the body itself and in the question of how much of that shape still belongs to us.
