Body Negotiation is an original acrylic painting on canvas by Noemi Safir, created in 2026 as part of the series Drama Looks Good on Us.
The painting explores the emotional tension that appears when closeness becomes a negotiation. Two female figures are caught in a charged moment of approach, hesitation and resistance. Their bodies are close, but the connection is not simple. One figure seems to reach forward while the other turns inward, creating a silent exchange where hands, posture and distance carry the emotional weight.
Through elongated forms, expressive distortion and strong body language, Safir examines the way women navigate intimacy, boundaries, dependency and self protection inside relationships. The body becomes the place where unspoken needs, pressure and restraint are held.
